italian producer simone fedi, hailing from tuscany, takes things to a whole new level on this third release on eskimo recordings. >bitter devotion< is a vocal pop gem with a balearic tinge, but its bittersweet vocals and the addictive melody will haunt you. for this tune fedi, a multi-instrumentalist with a knack for pop music and a soft spot for vintage gear, joined forces with a mysterious singer named lola rent, and this turns out to be a winning team.
bitter devotion comes with a rather spectacular remix package, ewan pearson (known from his remix work for goldfrapp, chemical brothers, hot chip, moby, franz ferdinand and depeche mode to name a few) gave it the royal treatment. as an additional treat, welcome stranger aka thomas bullock (rub n tug, laughing light of plenty, map of africa, whatever we want records) has indulged in a psychedelic >bitter devotion< dub, analogue and live... just the way we like it.

*dreaming* combines the minimal electronic soul inspired sound of her debut equilibria with the sweeping organic brazilian pop of new morning and traditional sounds of brazil. linking past and present malheiros mixes seductive styles to create a truly original sound for the future. dreaming is her finest work yet confirming malheiros as one of the finest female brazilian songwriters of her generation.

stefan schutz aka juno6 belongs to the society of the leipzig new school, which for the last 5 years has cut a path through emotions and change in diverse regions. his particular real estate is comfortably between deeper house and thoroughly scrutinized techno. sometimes he tends in one direction, at other times the opposite. all the while juno6 captivates both listeners and dancers alike with something new. his live sets are always an occasion � sound expeditions in the most literal sense embedded powerfully, yet imminently fresh as they are bound to tradition. he even dials up the the ambient/electronic field with project beautiful planet earth, or together with friend daniel stefanik as sensual. the sonic awareness of juno6 is expressed consistently as a potent degree of warmth, which paints a distinct lively and long-lasting tone on club music. the tone is hardly useful as a flavor of the month, but rather, a music with stamina and character. his track >guununk< is for more than a few the quiescent highlight of the fat 5zig compilation. on his second from fat, he displays the juno6 portfolio fully and expands his present effect with a portion of funkiness and a sprinkle of pop � at least on one of the cuts. with clever vocals mr. schulz informs us yet again.

dent may recorded >fun< and >wedding day< at hits inc., his home studio at the infamous cats purring dude ranch in oxford, mississippi. expanding upon the smooth pop sound he introduced on last years >that feeling / eastover wives< single on forest family, dent ditches his ukulele in favor of cosmic synths, funky guitars, analog drum machines, loopy bass lines, and massive vocal harmonies. this is his second release on paw tracks, who put out his debut lp the good feeling music of dent may and his magnificent ukulele in 2009.

his first, and arguably best album from the great rozenblit catalogue lovingly restored in its original format on limited lp, re-mastered from the original rozenblit master tapes. in 1968 tom ze moved from salvador, bahia to sao paulo where he hung out and wrote with his friends gilberto gil and caetano veloso. although initially part of the tropicalia movement, ze was extremely independent and determined to forge his own musical path. he started by recording grande liquidacao, a hyperactive pop album backed up by two incredible psychedelic rock bands: os brazoes and os versateis.

brandon johnson, the artist known as tridact, has been putting together his mix of analog electronics and beats for some time. growing up in and around santa barbara, california, he has recently traded the beaches and foothills of southern california to move to the forests and mountains of southern oregon. after participating in various bands and other musical projects in santa barbara, he bought a simple setup consisting of a midi sequencer, a sampler and a couple of vintage synthesizers and began creating his own electronic music. over time he built up a small studio and added some live instrumentation into the mix. in the late 2000s, he began posting some of his tracks online, eventually leading to his first release, >light minute<, on the synchronicity suite compilation on moodgadget records, alongside artists such as wisp and mux mool. the track was later re-released on ghostly internationals nocturnal suite compilation. on tridact�s debut album on prins thomas internasjonal label, he creates an eclectic blend of densely layered, melodic, song-oriented instrumental tracks which combine analog synthesizers, guitars and programmed beats. the album draws from influences ranging from 60s pop to disco, house, techno and breakbeat to make a sound that reflects a distinctly pacific coast experience. from the new tridact album (intcd0002) we have cherry picked these tracks for a exclusive vinyl edition spread over 1 12 inch and a 7 inch.
